The Department of Advanced Technologies is encouraging faculty and students to participate in the upcoming disc golf tournament on 11/20/09. The Deptartment Chair, Deborah Porto recently practiced and found it wasn't as easy as it looks. The course winds around the HCC campus and provides great exercise and fun.

Building Construction Prepares for Disc Golf Tournament.
Soils and Site work students took a break from their normal surveying lab on Friday in order to contribute to the Disc Golf course here at HCC. Students started work on the signs that will be posted on the disc golf course. We are having a disc golf tournament here on campus on the 20th and students could not resist a little practice as we traveled from one hole to the next. Take a close look at Nick Maynard and how happy he is to be a Haywood Community College student.(second from left in the third picture)
